Matt Rich comeback continues

The long awaited return to a Phoenix uniform for Matt Rich takes another step forward this week as the 21-year old Scot returns to training with the squad this week.

Sidelined since the summer having contracted Salmonella, Matt has been steadily increasing his gymnasium regimen to build back the strength lost while recuperating and plenty of swimming too has helped his progress.

Matt told the Phoenix E-zine, “I’m feeling so much better, stronger all round. The sooner I’m back in full training the better and that starts this week. I’m not sure how much longer it’ll be before I can play, but I’ve said all along, my target was to be back before Christmas, so my fingers are crossed.”
