No NHL break for bmibaby Elite League

The bmibaby Elite Ice Hockey League wish to remove all doubt and uncertainty over game scheduling for the weekend of September 28th and 29th.

With the league and all clubs due to announce and confirm the 2007-08 season fixtures listing on Tuesday, EIHL officials are keen to advise that all ten clubs will be staging fixtures that weekend.

A bmibaby Elite League spokesperson commented, "There has been some speculation and conjecture that we would not be staging games on the weekend of the two NHL games in London, and we wish to confirm that our scheduling will carry on as normal. We held our fixtures meeting three weeks ago and since then, the schedule has been revised and amended to ensure all our clubs get the best possible dates for our domestic competitions."
