As part of our new initiatives, Klub Phoenix has started a "Can't Buy It" Raffle Ticket scheme.
Klub Phoenix will offer special items of merchandise or memorobilia via the on-line raffle, that will not otherwise go on sale, hence the "Can't Buy It" title.
Rather than offering these items for auction, Klub Phoenix will make such items available via the on-line Raffle with tickets priced at £2 each or 5 for £8. Klub Phoenix believe this is a much fairer way of every supporter having a chance to get their hands on some special items. Some of the items will have reserve values set against them. In the event that the amount of raffle tickets purchased for that item does not meet or better the reserve value, Klub Phoenix may withhold the item from the Raffle.
What happens to the money spent on Raffle Tickets if the reserve value isn't met?
Nobody will lose out... as Klub Phoenix will refund all those supporters who did buy tickets for that item... nobody will lose any money if the item doesn't reach its reserve value. So, give yourself a better chance of winning by buying more tickets, and do so safely in the knowledge that if the item is withdrawn, you'll get your money back.
So when will the draw for the Klub Phoenix Raffle take place?
Well, our normal Face-Off time is 5.30pm on Sunday, so Klub Phoenix will use that as the draw time to begin with... with the first being held at 5.30pm on Sunday July 15th.
And who will make the draw and how will we know who is the lucky winner?
Klub Phoenix will present the Raffle Ticket draw "LIVE" on the Phoenix website in a style similar to that of the National Lottery - watch this space or the weekly Supporters E-Zine for the exact format - and we'll publish the winners names on the website.
And how often will Klub Phoenix make these draws?
The intention is to run a new draw with new items every two weeks from now until at least the start of the new season.
Seems like a good idea, certainly fairer than an auction.
Klub Phoenix thinks it's a good idea too, and as the scheme develops, look out for some very special items to become available.
