There are just two weeks to go until Team GB take to the ice at the Skydome and we need hockey fans from all over the country to help to make it a special night for the national programme. We are appealing for as many fans as possible to make the effort to come to the game and give the lads a great send off for the World Championships. Tickets are on sale now!

The Men's senior World Championships in Slovenia are fast approaching and Team GB will be holding a week long training camp at the Skydome Arena, Coventry between 9th and 13th April. As part of the preparations for the tournament, a special GB Hockey Extravaganza Night has been planned in order that fans from across the nation can come and give the team a good and proper send off.

GB Coach Paul Thompson will give his side an outing against a GB Under 25 team coached by Peter Russell. Thompson explained, "The Under 25 team will be made up mainly from the Under 20's team that recently did so well in winning a bronze medal at the World Under 20 Championship. Other players will include some senior GB guys who didn't quite make the final 22 going to the Championships

"I know Peter Russell is keen to let these guys show me what they are made of and it will also give me a better idea of those players climbing through the ranks who will be available for the full senior team in years to come. I will have had a good few days training camp with the team and we will be ready, as a team, to show both the Under 25 team and the fans that we are well prepared for the World Championships

"I have been delighted at the response I have had from both players and fans since my appointment as Head Coach. We have aimed to be professional and put pride back into our Nation's senior side. This night of GB hockey will be a great chance for every GB supporter to come to the Skydome and cheer the guys on and more importantly send them to the Championships knowing they have the Nation behind them"

The GB Supporters Club will be in attendance with their superb range of GB merchandise and it is expected that the GB Senior Ladies team will be in attendance to put on a ten minute interval exhibition game. There will also be an auction for the Team GB game jerseys and a whole lot more going on.

Adults - £8; Under 16/OAP - £5; Full GBSC Supporters club family - £21 (must have 3 or 4 family members so if only 1 adult is member, have to buy tickets separately). GB Supporters Club members must quote their membership number at time of booking tickets.
