Statement from Manchester Phoenix

We would like to repeat the statement that the club made at the end of the Play-off Finals weekend.

Nothing that was said, or presented during the Siverblades/Planet Ice meeting at the Cresta Court on June 10th, has changed our position at all.

Manchester Phoenix categorically state that there has never been any misuse of any funds by the club.

Furthermore, we have continuously engaged in good faith negotiations regarding the rental of ice time, and were happy to continue on that basis.

We will now continue to plan and look to the future, and would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the 300+ fans that turned up at the Mercure Hotel in Manchester that day.

There was no louder voice of support and belief in this club, team and owners than by the faithful Phoenix family that turned up.

They participated fully, and shared their thoughts and feelings on how we can move forward. We will continue to be the only Manchester ice hockey team ever worth following!
