Sunday is teddy bear day

The Manchester Phoenix are asking all fans attending this Sunday’s home game against the Sheffield Steelers to bring along a Teddy Bear for a special Christmas appeal. Phoenix MD Neil Morris advised, “it’s that time of the year and as a club, we’d really like to do something for some of the children locally who will be spending Christmas in hospital. We asking fans to bring along a Teddy Bear wrapped in a plastic bag for a special “Teddy Bear Throw” onto the ice on Sunday. All the bears received will be distributed to local children’s wards by the Phoenix players – we hope everyone will join us in the spirit of giving a present for Christmas to some less fortunate than ourselves.”
