Can Phoenix down the Jets again?

J Davidson sponsored Manchester Phoenix take on the Slough Jets at the Ice Dome on Sunday with a 17.30 face off.

The team will be looking to make it two from two against the Jets after an opening day win down at the Hangar.

That night, Phoenix took a 4-0 lead only to be pegged back to 4-3 before an empty netter sealed the points. However Slough have definitely improved since then and are a free-scoring unit. Adam Calder is the league’s top scorer and he has hit two hat tricks already this season.

Phoenix will be hoping to take advantage of a somewhat leaky defence that has shipped 26 goals so far. Martin Cingel will want to continue his scoring run and will we see another Spelda rocket?

The games between the sides last season were thrilling affairs and there is no reason why we should not have another run and gun barn burner at the Dome on Sunday.
