Phoenix prey on the Wildcats

J Davidson sponsored Manchester Phoenix take on the Swindon Wildcats at the Altrincham Ice Dome on Sunday 2nd October with a 17.30 face off.

After a successful four point weekend to open their defence of the Championship title, Phoenix will come up against a team who have definitely upgraded from last season.

Swindon have retained the services of Swedish import Jonas Hoog and signed the East European duo of Michel Pinc and Jaroslav Cesky from Bracknell, affectionally known as Pinky and Perky by fans across the league.

This is a very potent forward line and Phoenix will have to concentrate for the full sixty minutes to maintain their great start to the campaign. The three players, have managed 13 points in their three games so far. Even agitator in chief Nicky Watt has managed three goals.

However, our lads have not been shy in goal scoring matters and our 10 goal weekend proved we have the quality to match any team. Last season against Swindon we scored 21 goals at home.

Who could forget that memorable last game of the season when a 5-2 win sealed the championship?
