Headline sponsor back on board with Phoenix

Tuesday, 9th August 2011

Manchester Phoenix are extremely proud and pleased to announce that J Davidson will be the club’s headline sponsor for the new season.

Based in Altrincham, the company was established in 1970 by the late Jack Davidson and is now run by his son James.

The company are one of the North West’s largest and longest established scrap metal dealers. Servicing industrial, commercial and the general public sectors, they were one of the first companies in the North West to be credited as an Authorised Treatment Facility for the disposal of end of life vehicles.

J Davidson are proud of their standing in the local community and are very pleased to be associated with Manchester Phoenix. They have not only signed on as our premier sponsor for this season, but have in fact penned a two-year contract. This is the first multi - year deal in Phoenix’s history and MD Neil Morris was obviously delighted.

Neil said: “It is great to have a local company involved with Phoenix and I am especially pleased it is J Davidson. They stepped in at the 11th hour last season, when Unison dropped out, and their sponsorship of the club at that time was vital to our survival. Now they have signed a commitment for two years, we have a sound footing on which to build and hopefully , on to greater things. Their established involvement in local community sports makes for a great partnership with the Manchester Phoenix Community Sports Foundation.

“I am looking forward to the forthcoming season, and to defending our League title with J Davidson alongside us.”
