Summer news: out with the old and in with the new

This week is the most exciting of the summer so far. Not only do we have some championship winning game-worn shirts for auction, we will also be revealing our new shirts for the 2011/12 season.

Online now, and available from the official website, are a number of game-worn shirts from last season's championship winning team. Each shirt comes with an authenticity certificate, a commemorative etched glass championship trophy and a special edition playing card.

Check the website and click on the players' names to see the latest bids. You will have to hurry as the auction is due to finish at 20.00hrs on the 28th July.

On Sunday 31st July, Manchester Phoenix will be revealing their new shirts for the coming season. The event will be held at the Cresta Court Hotel in Altrincham starting at 17.00hrs. The event will be FREE as the Cresta Court Hotel has kindly sponsored the evening.

Coach Tony Hand MBE and several of the playing staff will be in attendance.

Prior to the shirt launch, the Manchester Phoenix Supporters' Club will be holding its AGM at the Cresta Court. The meeting is due to commence at 16.00hrs and is open to all 2010/2011 members.

Don't forget that the Early Bird season ticket offer ends on Sunday 31st July. Don't miss out on a great saving on season ticket prices. You will be able to get yours at the shirt launch event on the 31st.

Team building is progressing well with the return of several key players from the Championship winning squad and the exciting addition of Martin Cingel and Slava Koulikov. Coach Hand is working hard on filling the few remaining places on the roster and is confident of putting together a very exciting team for next season.
