Officials of the Peterborough Phantoms and Manchester Phoenix have discussed and confirmed the dates and times for this coming weekends English Premier League playoff match-up.
The Phantoms will host the first leg in Peterborough on Saturday April 3rd with face-off at 7.00pm, with the Phoenix hosting the second leg at the Altrincham Ice Dome at 5.30pm on Sunday 4th.
Paul Bignell of the Phantoms noted, “It promises to be an exciting series between the two clubs, we’re really looking forward to it. We think the squads are quite well matched and we’re expecting two tight games.”
A Phoenix spokesperson added, “We edged the regular season games between the two sides, winning four and losing two, but we won’t take anything for granted. Playoff hockey is a different animal to the league and we’ll need every player to be focussed and ready to play. Peterborough are the defending champions and won’t want to relinquish their crown without a battle.”
