The club would like to thank Jim Piper for his time spent as the Fan Liaison. Jim has put in many long hours over previous seasons constructing a communications platform from which to talk to Ice Hockey fans worldwide.

Jim has resigned his position as Fan Liaison but intends to keep up his role with the supporters club. The organisation has therefore decided to structure a new role of Communications officer, and therefore would now like to offer all supporters of the organisation the opportunity of filling this voluntary vacancy.

The role will entail communicating with the Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey community on multiple platforms. Public meetings, match night, e-mail campaigns, the clubs e-zine and of the course the website and official forum.

You should send your application to the supporters club, which can be handed in at the supporters club desk on match night or mailed to them direct at supportersclub@manchesterphoenix.co.uk. The applicant should have good communication skills and a pleasant and outgoing manner. The ability to be able to talk with people from a wide spectrum of backgrounds would be an asset. This position would suit an individual with a strong and patient personality.

The closing date for applicatons is April 4th.
