Manchester Phoenix head into their weekend games without the services of recent signing Ryan Johnson.
Twenty-five year old utility player Johnson, who joined from the Phoenix from the Sheffield Scimitars after a successful two-week trial, will miss the road trip to Basingstoke on Saturday and Sunday's home game against Swindon having been diagnosed with Tonsilitis.
Phoenix GM Andy Costigan noted, "Just when we thought we were getting back to something like 100% Ryan goes down sick and obviously will miss both games this weekend. He'll stay and home and rest and depending upon how things go, we'll see how he is next week with a view to next weekend. Situations like this on top of the past couple of weeks mean we'll possibly review the depth of the roster and we'll see whether we can look to strengthen the squad. We were happy to start the season with sixteen players, but the sickness and now Ryan going down has mean we have to review things."
