In conjunction with Elite League sponsors bmibaby, the next TWO home games will see the chance for two (different) couples to win flights in a special Valentines Day promotion.
Don't get the cold shoulder this Valentines Day...
'Ice your Wife' and 'Ice your Husband' with bmibaby and the Manchester Phoenix - a human curling competition and win a bmibaby flights for a romantic break.
During the second and third periods at the Phoenix versus Capitals game this coming Sunday, four couples will compete against each other in "Ice your Wife" for the chance to win a bmibaby flights to one of the airline's romantic destinations. The husband will push their wife on a sledge across the ice with the team that gets the furthest winning return flights to a romantic destination of their choice from Manchester Airport.
On Sunday 17th February, at the Phoenix versus Giants match, the roles will be reversed as four different couples will get the chance to compete in "Ice your Husband" by the wife pushing their husbands across the ice to win flights with bmibaby.com. These events will be great entertainment for all the family.
Couples wishing to register for the chance to compete in this Sunday's first competition should e-mail Margaret Pullen at the Phoenix office at mpullen@manchesterphoenix.co.uk with Ice the Partner 1 as the message title. All names received by 12 noon on Friday 8th will go into a hat and four couples will be drawn on Friday afternoon and advised by e-mail of their success in getting to compete. And couples wishing to compete in the second competition on Sunday 17th should e-mail in no later than 12 noon on Friday 15th with Ice the Partner 2 as the message title.
Note. both competitions are open to unmarried couples, so don't be shy. as two lots of weekend flights from Manchester for two are yours for the winning. all you need do is shove the one you love down the ice.
