Manchester Phoenix MD Neil Morris proudly unveiled the clubs third major sponsorship deal in a week on Monday with the news that Hoodpoint - a Cheshire based company - had agreed a major sponsorship deal.
Hoodpoint, a specialist in business communications and specialist internet services with offices in Wilmslow and on Tyneside, already have links with the roller hockey community and Sales Director Peter Moore advised, "With our interest in roller hockey, it seemed a logical and natural progression for us to forge a relationship with the Phoenix. Ice hockey is a thrilling spectacle to watch and the plans we've seen for the Phoenix excite us as both a business and as sports fans. We wish Neil and his team the very best of success and are proud to associated with his organisation."
Morris commented, "In confirming the deal agreed between the Phoenix, Peter and his company, we've had a good week on the business front. The deal we have agreed comes hot on the heels of our other announcements and we are very grateful to Peter and the other companies for their faith in and commitment to the Phoenix. It is our intention to ensure that they and other sponsors and advertisers prosper from their relationships with the hockey club. To that end, we will be leaving no stone unturned in our recruiting for the team - we want to put the most entertaining and dynamic team on the ice that we possibly can."
Morris added, "Together with the sponsorship news, I am pleased with the initial interest to our "Early-Bird" season ticket offers. Almost a hundred were snapped up in the first few days and full details are available on the club web site. Rick Brebant last Friday announced that he was close to signing a new player - today he tells me that the signed contract should be with us any day, so the fans can look forward to another exciting signing announcement later this week."
