Great Britain Ice Hockey Captain Jonathan Weaver will win his 50th cap this evening when he leads his team out against Poland in Game One of their World Championship campaign in Austria
Weaver made his debut in 1997 and has scored 14 times for his country in his 49 appearances to date.
GB Assistant coach Rob Wilson said, "It's a great achievement for Weaves, he is a great player and a great Captain. In my opinion he is in a class of his own as a GB defenseman. He can do it all, play good solid defence as well as lead the charge offensively. I hope his 50th cap is a winning one."
