Team GB arrived in Austria on Saturday afternoon and within two hours of touching down were on the ice training at the impressive Tiroler Wasserkraft Arena where they will open their World Championship campaign on Sunday evening against Poland
Team Coach Paul Thompson (photo attached) is looking forward to the battle that he knows lies ahead, "Poland are ranked ahead of us in World standings we know that, however we have trained hard all week and have prepared well for this tournament. My team may be young, but we are hungry. We start off with two tough games, but nobody said the World Championships were easy places to play."
Thompson ended adding, "We have skated at the arena for the first time and the whole set up, building and ice are excellent, we will wear the GB shirt with pride and passion and give our all staring on Sunday."
