Czech defenceman David Vychodil sent the Phoenix a "Good Luck" message on Wednesday having confirmed his move to play in Poland next season.
The blueliner with a shot like a howitzer told Phoenix GM Andy Costigan, "I would have liked to come back to Manchester, but received the offer from Polish champions Podhale Nowy Targ and decided to accept it. The team will play in the Continental Cup as well as the Polish League and Cup competitions so I think I will play a lot of hockey, I think I will be happy there."
David is spending the summer working on his house in Ostrava and added, "we have lots to do, but hope to have it finished by August. I wish Phoenix the best of luck for next season and would love to come back one day and battle to win a cup for Manchester."
