Update from the Phoenix Camp

It has been very difficult over the last few weeks and the club would like to pay tribute to the players that have been loyal and supported the club throughout this period.

The Manchester Phoenix has asked for a final confirmation that the return to Manchester is still possible on a permanent basis. There have been suggestions in social media the club always intended to play the full season in Blackpool. This is not, and has never been, the case.

The club had a business plan that allowed them to play till early November on the road. Obviously this period has passed and all avenues are being examined to allow the Phoenix to see the season out. The organisation realises that market forces and the performance of similar sports models in Manchester have made the return home very difficult. It would however like to thank everyone who has worked tirelessly in the background to make this vision a reality.

Hopefully The Manchester Phoenix will receive some good news over the next week that will allow them to complete the season and return home to Manchester where they truly belong.

For well over a decade now the supporters of The Manchester Phoenix have proved to be a very special group of individuals that at times have had their highs and their lows with this club. There is only one reason the man that started this club has made this journey. It’s because he believes that those people are what this club is all about and nothing else.
