Manchester Phoenix yesterday released Jakub Langhammer from his contract. The big Czech import forward had struggled to find form, scoring just 4 goals and 3 assists in his 14 games for the club.
Coach Hand said: “Sometimes things just do not work out and, with the situation we are in, I thought that some changes needed to be made. Jakub worked hard for the team but being so short benched early in the season may have taken its toll on him with the number of minutes we have been asking players to ice. I wish him well and hope he gets fixed up soon.”
The staff and players at Manchester Phoenix echo Coach Hand’s comment and wish him well wherever he goes.
Meanwhile the club hope to announce a replacement in time for next weekend’s games.
