Murphy gets the start against Poland tonight

GB Head Coach Paul Thompson has confirmed that Manchester Phoenix Goalie Stephen Murphy will start this evenings crunch Pre-Olympic Qualification tournament game against host Country Poland.

Thompson said "Its a tough decision as we have two very good goalies, but I and the coaching staff agreed that Murphy was the guy to go with at our team meeting at the hotel last night.

"Stephen has had an excellent start to the season with Manchester and was also the stand out goalie at the World Championships last year in Austria.

"We have every confidence that he will perform well tonight and give us a chance to win the game."
