Bids at the ready for the Elite League jersey auction

Wednesday, 2nd April 2008

It’s every die-hard hockey fan’s favourite time of the year again as they get the chance to get their hands on exclusive, game-worn Elite League jerseys.

The Annual Elite League Jersey Auction will auction off each of the 10 clubs’ jerseys, which were specially designed and manufactured for each team for the playoffs by CH Sports, following the playoffs final weekend on 5th and 6th April.

The first set of shirts that will be available to bid on will be Basingstoke and Hull on 7th April. Two teams will then be added to the auction every day and each shirt auction will last for seven days. Lucky Coventry fans will have additional shirts available at the auction as the team had two different shirts designed for the playoffs due to a colour clash with Edinburgh.

Mike Hicks, director of CH Sports, said: “The only place to get your hands on these shirts is through the auction. There are no replicas, just the limited edition shirts worn by the players themselves during the playoff finals. The Elite League Jersey Auction is always fiercely popular so fans should keep an eye on the website to make sure they don’t miss their chance to own one of these unique shirts.”
