Less than two weeks until End of Season Awards

It is less than two weeks until the Supporter’s Club Manchester Phoenix End of Season Awards where the players and fans will come together for a glamorous night to celebrate another great year and reward those players who’ve impressed most on the ice.

Always a great night, the awards are a fantastic way to see out the season and celebrate the achievements of the team. The ceremony takes place at the Mercure Hotel in Manchester on Friday 21st March, starting at 7pm and includes food and an entertainment filled night.

Guests will have the chance to take part in raffles and auctions to win a number of great prizes including a ‘Manchester package’ which consists of comedy tickets, dinner and an overnight stay at the Mercure.

There will be entertainment from the talented Carly Ryan of the Heroes project, who featured on the BBC Three show “Autistic Superstars”. After the awards the DJ and bar open until late will help fans party the night away and celebrate a great season of hockey in style.

Fans had until 28th February to vote on a number of awards through the dedicated awards webpage and on match nights at the rink. The votes have been counted and the winners of these awards will be presented on the night: Elite Print Solutions Forward of the Year, Defenceman of the Year, J Davidsons Fan’s Favourite of the Year and Millingtons Best All Rounder of the Year.

The following categories were not open to voting from fans but will be presented on the night: Supporter’s Club Player of the Year, Player's Player of the Year, Go Goodwins Coach's Player of the Year, Minotaurs Player's Player of the Year, Sledge Hockey Player's Player of the Year, Women's Hockey Player's Player of the Year.
